The Gippsland Lakes district in Victoria, about 300 kilometres east of Melbourne, is a haven for motor yachting enthusiasts, with a strong contingent of Riviera owners.
The R Marine Jacksons team from Melbourne recently hosted an evening get-together for Riviera owners as well as other club members and friends at the Paynesville Motor Cruiser Club on the Lakes. R Marine Jacksons is a major partner of the club.
For Stuart Jackson and his team, it was a chance to reconnect with many owners as well as to demonstrate the Riviera lifestyle to the many club members.
“We festooned the Club deck with R Marine flags and took two sparkling Rivieras to the Club for guests to inspect,” said Stuart. “The 445 SUV and Series II 4400 Sport Yacht were great attractions throughout the evening. We also organised many giveaways.”
On Sunday, Stuart gave the Riviera owners a special reason to get out on the water on their motor yachts as he raced his Formula 2 tunnel boat on the lake.
“The Riviera owners were great support during the race and everyone enjoyed the day out on the water. Some of the owners took a keen interest in my race boat and I was delighted to give them the chance to inspect it close up.
“The weekend was our way to demonstrate our support for the many country-based Riviera owners at the Lakes.”
