Fun, friendship and boating education were all highlights of R Marine Mandurah’s recent Knot Moët event – an annual highlight for the West Australian Riviera dealer’s very active group of ladies.
A total of 16 ladies attended this year’s get-together, which derives its name from learning to now more about knots and ropes whilst enjoying the refreshment of fine French champagne.
“The ladies learned more about ropes, knots and fenders with mooring pick-ups and maneuvering onboard two different Riviera motor yachts: the pod-drive 445 SUV R Bar and the shaft-drive 47 Enclosed Flybridge Rivin The Dream,” said R Marine Mandurah dealer principal, Carl Segreto.
Attending for the first time was Vicki Lively, who with her husband Matthew owns the Riviera 33 Open Flybridge Narrator.
“I would recommend these educational events to everyone,” she said. “I loved learning a quicker way to tie up ropes and driving a yacht to a mooring. I have since put into practice what I learned and I must say we were very well looked after.”
Toby Williams, who with partner Chris Pearson owns the Riviera 445 SUV R Bar, also said she ‘learned a lot’ at the Knot Moët educational event and now felt a lot more confident at the helm.
“My favourite part was bringing the yacht into the pen and being told I did a great job,” she said.
Each participant received a specially embroidered hat to mark the 2016 event, which also featured special service from waiters delivering Moët and fine fare during a cruise down the picturesque Swan River.
“And then, to top it all off at the end of the day, we all received a red rose,” said Vicky.
The next R Marine Mandurah event is the Cocktails on the Coast Christmas Function on December 9. For further information please email info@rivmandurah.com.au or call +61 8 9583 5355.
