Spectacular light show enjoyed from luxury Rivieras
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia – Spectacular fireworks over the stunning backdrop of Melbourne’s city skyline set the scene for a memorable New Year’s celebration for Riviera owners Greg Cook and Andrew Luxton.
Greg cruised to The Docklands from Martha Cove aboard his 3600 Sport Yacht Indigo with fabled around-Australia adventurer Andrew leading the way aboard his 51 Enclosed Flybridge Prime Mover.
Their wives, Helen and Jayne, drove up the following day to join them and help ring in the New Year with a delicious feast of crayfish and prawns on the marina in company of a fleet of fellow luxury motor yacht owners.
“I’ve known Andrew a long time and he really influenced us to buy a Riviera – our first luxury motor yacht,” said Greg.
“We are really enjoying the experience and we are now looking forward to cruising with Andrew and Jayne to Wilson’s Promontory and to Deal Island in the Bass Strait, Tasmania.
“They tell me that when I return I will want a bigger boat so I can go even further afield.”
Andrew Luxton says the New Year’s Eve experience was one filled with fun, family and friends.
“At one stage we had 20 people on the boat and it was very safe for the kids – and I have to thank Stuart from R Marine Jacksons for helping to organise it,” he said.
After the Deal Island cruise in mid-February, Andrew and Jayne plan to take Prime Mover north in mid-March, venturing as far as Lizard Island off Cairns in Far North Queensland before returning to Riviera Aftermarket on the Gold Coast for some love and attention, and then on to Sydney for New Year’s Eve.
“The boat will be away almost the entire year and then we head home to Victoria in early 2018,” said Andrew.
