Belize 66 Daybridge world premiere at Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show as part of our largest-ever Riviera display

Brilliant, beautiful and bespoke, the Belize 66 Daybridge will make her world premiere at the 2019 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show [Oct 30-Nov 3] as part of the largest ever display in the Americas by premium motor yacht builder Riviera Australia.

The Belize craftsmen have done a masterful job in bringing this graceful and sophisticated design to life, and Riviera Australia CEO Wes Moxey expects the 66-footer to be in a class of her own when launched to an expectant market.

“The 66 Daybridge will give yachtsmen seeking a true, long-range motor yacht with expansive and flexible living and accommodation spaces their ultimate motor yacht. The Belize 54 Daybridge has been exceptionally popular since her release and we believe the 66 will follow with great admiration and acceptance,” Mr Moxey, says.

“The interior volume and level of appointment and craftsmanship, along with her effortless performance, will really set the 66 apart.
“Every Belize yacht that is launched features bespoke finishes and details, ensuring that each yacht is something quite special and unique. Just like their owners.”

Riviera has a grand total of 12 luxurious motor yachts confirmed for Fort Lauderdale, with four models making their much-anticipated US premiere – the sophisticated 6000, 5400 and 4800 Series II Platinum Edition Sport Yachts and the new 545 SUV.

Joining them in this elite showcase will be Riviera’s flagship 72 Sports Motor Yacht, 45 and 39 Open flybridges, 575 and 395 SUVs, together with the Belize 66 Sedan and Belize 54 Daybridge.

Individually they have attracted world-wide attention in their respective classes, together they supremely represent the highest calibre of luxury, superior design and superior sea-keeping qualities.

“Visitors to Fort Lauderdale will be very impressed this year,” Riviera Australia owner Rodney Longhurst says. “The display is not only our largest, it will comprehensively highlight the ongoing advancement of our model development, while also showcasing our latest styling.

“I’m very proud to say that all of our models today are the most refined that Riviera has offered in our almost 40-year history. Our team in Australia are dedicated to ensure that each and every yacht we build reflects our ethos as the boaters, boat.”

Belize 66 Daybridge – a modern-day classic

The extordinary 66 Daybridge will stand out in any anchorage, with her sleek and tapered window line, curvaceous transom design and free-flowing bridge form. Quite simply, she is a yacht for all seasons, and all reasons.

An immensely accommodating four-cabin arrangement has been specified for the show-bound Daybridge featuring the ‘Classic’ layout with the master stateroom amidships with ensuite bathroom on the starboard side, VIP guest stateroom forward with ensuite, port guest cabin with ensuite that also serves as the day head and a twin bunk cabin to starboard.

The saloon of the Daybridge has a helm console to starboard, accommodating a single seat, 22-inch screen, sports wheel and controls. To port of the helm is a tremendous dining area.

The main helm station is on the bridge and boasts two 22-inch navigation screens and a 17-inch screen integrated with the Volvo Penta systems. Three pedestal helm seats are upholstered with premium Sunbrella outdoor fabric.

Daybridge access is via internal stairs adjacent to the aft galley, offering optimum safety when underway and keeps the cockpit space uncluttered. Optional front and side clears can be fitted to the Daybridge, while for added comfort, optional air-conditioning vents can provide a cool breeze.

The 66 Daybridge’s wetbar contains two fridges and an icemaker, plus an optional electric twin-grill barbecue. There’s also an L-shaped lounge surrounding a stunning timber dining table.

A tender garage resides beneath the large teak-laid cockpit, availing the foredeck space to be utilised for a U-shaped lounge surrounding an additional timber table.

Volvo Penta IPS3 drives, married to D-13 1350 engines, will deliver a top speed of around over 30 knots, according to Mr Moxey.

“We’ve seen that the hull handles extremely efficiently from a performance, economy and range perspective whilst delivering a ride that just has to be experienced to believed.”

Luxury has never looked so good as the new 4800 Series II, 5400 and 6000 Platinum Edition Sport Yachts which, befitting their name, are shining examples of world-class styling, evoking both elegance and luxury.

The deluxe hue is synonymous with prestige as it melds stylishly with the gleaming white gelcoat externally, along with the gloss walnut cabinetry and contemporary countertops and headliner internally, creating classic and timeless appeal.

Externally, there is the eye-catching addition of hardtops and targa arches accented in Platinum silver, along with a gracious sunbed on the foredeck. Electronic arrays, air vents and boot tops are rendered in a contrasting black. For that final touch, grey Sikaflex is utilised in the teak decking.

Beauty also runs deep with new, premium, state-of-the-art features such as Sunbrella fabrics, pure wool carpet underfoot in the staterooms and new modular lounges upholstered in soft-touch fabrics.

Complementing these lounges are new Recaro sports helm seats with Alcantara inserts and diamond hand-stitching. Elsewhere are Sunbrella fabric headliners and wall linings, while beautiful, hard-wearing Corian is employed for head compartment flooring.

Accommodation options for the Platinum Edition range from two staterooms with two bathrooms aboard the 4800 Series II to the option of two or three staterooms with two bathrooms onboard the 5400 up to three or four staterooms with three bathrooms and impressive layout options on the superb 6000.

The newly launched 545 SUV has been hailed as two yachts in one – a single-level sport yacht entertainer with the ocean cruising pedigree of a flybridge. In many ways, however, it stands alone in its class by offering a palatial full-beam master suite among its many luxuries.

Superbly designed, appointed and finished, the apartment-style haven includes a queen-sized walk-around bed, bedside tables and drawers, L-shaped lounge to starboard, bureau and large hanging wardrobe to port, plus a generous en-suite bathroom equipped with designer fittings.

Being amidships, it enjoys maximum stability and quietness, while a long hull window and opening port to both port and starboard afford unimpeded water views and natural light.

The 545 is a versatile yacht combining indoor/outdoor lifestyle features at a size that’s just right for cruising couples and families.

“The 545 SUV presents a rich level of luxury and refinement in a class of motor yacht that we have worked tirelessly to create,” Mr Longhurst says.

“This is a sporty and adventurous yacht in every sense, sharing the soft-riding and seaworthy hull, expansive open cockpit and accommodation plan of our newly launched 54 Enclosed Flybridge, along with a free-flowing, easy-living saloon that’s ideal for entertaining.

“At the same time, our Volvo Penta IPS power options [800 and 950] provide impressive performance with the sheer ease of handling.”
