This year there were 12 magnificent yachts on display at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, a stunning showcase of Riviera’s diverse range and the biggest new-boat display at the show.

The impressive collection included the new Platinum Edition 4800, 5400 and 6000 Sports Yachts and the premiering 54 Enclosed Flybridge. Also on display were the popular 39, 68 and 72 Sports Motor Yachts, 395 and 445 SUVs, 43 Open Flybridge, 57 Enclosed Flybridge and Belize 54 Sedan.
All the yachts attracted admiring comments, particularly the three premiering Platinum Edition Sports Yachts, which had the distinctive feature of hardtops and targa arches presented in Riviera Platinum.
“Stylish and very sophisticated”, was only one of the numerous enthusiastic comments received from visitors to the display.
Jill Tyler and her husband David were two of the many to fall in love with the new Platinum Edition 5400. They had secured their dream yacht and were keen to finalise options at the show.
“They are stunning, just absolutely lovely,” Jill said.
“The layout and different spaces are so well thought out for their intended use, much better than the other yachts that we looked at.”
“I particularly liked the lighter colours and white Corian ‘waterfall’ countertops in the galley, which were extended down the sides of the cabinetry.”
“This will be our third Riviera yacht. We just love them to bits. They are just so well designed and so well built.”
Other Platinum Edition features to win praise from Jill and fellow new yacht owners included the high-gloss walnut cabinetry, pure wool carpet in the staterooms, in-vogue lounges upholstered in soft-touch fabrics and Riviera Platinum finished wet bar featuring refrigerator, icemaker, sink and two-plate electric barbecue.
The premiering 54 Enclosed Flybridge also won many accolades for its sophisticated and luxe design, state-of-the-art technology and true blue-water capabilities.
Design features include a flowing saloon and cockpit space, three staterooms – including a full-beam master suite, spectacular luxury flybridge, Volvo Penta Glass Cockpit navigation and the smooth and economical Volvo Penta Integrated Propulsion System power.
In between looking at the inspiring yachts or attending one of the many boating education seminars held at the show, owners could relax in comfort and style at the Riviera Motor Yacht Club, a superyacht moored within the display, complete with bar and café.
Riviera company owner Rodney Longhurst was delighted at the overwhelming response to the yachts.
“It was very rewarding for our team to receive such positive reactions to our three premiere models,” he said.
“Being part of the Riviera Family is a way of life for over 5,400 yacht owners around the world and our team are very proud to have welcomed multiple owners into the family over the course of the 2019 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.”
