Gold Coast, QLD, Australia – R Marine Crawley hosted over 100 members of the fun-loving Riviera Family for a beach barbecue to celebrate Christmas in style.

Guests aboard 26 luxury Riviera and Belize motor yachts tied up in the marina at the refurbished Couran Cove Island resort before gathering at Sunset Beach for first-class fare whilst overlooking the beautiful Gold Coast Broadwater.

“The food was simply sensational,” said 40 Open Flybridge owner and new addition to the Riviera Family, Chris McLennan.

“I have had a long connection with Riviera and have always dreamed of owning my own Riv but my wife Jeanie and I have only just bought the boat so this was my first Riviera function and my first R Marine Crawley function.

“We were very impressed with the barbecue meal and the fact the Crawley team helped us take our yacht, Forty Something, across to the South Stradbroke Island resort.

“The kids vanished immediately but when they came back they told me they now want a Riviera 51.”

Face-painting, balloon-tying and sweet giveaways added to the fun for the children.

Queensland’s South Stradbroke Island provided an ideal venue for the R Marine Crawley Christmas celebration.

Max Hume, who with his wife Maree owns the 4400 Sport Yacht Persistence, paid credit to the hard-working R Marine Crawley crew.

“It was a great family day out – sensational as always,” said Max.

“All the staff always pitch in to make sure we have a good time and really do make you feel like part of a family – I’d love to poach them if I could.”
