The 2018 Festival of Boating workshop program will enhance your boating knowledge and your enjoyment

The key to happy and safe boating is knowledge which is why our annual Festival of Boating is so strongly focused on education.

We have listened carefully to input from our Riviera Family about how we can make the award-winning Festival even more informative. As a result, we have fully refreshed all our most popular workshops, giving our experts an opportunity to expand on specific areas of interest and allowing even more question time.

With 40 separate workshops and seminars over three days, there are myriad options for Riviera and Belize owners to select – from learning and practicing knots and hitches, improving your berthing and rafting skills to traditional chart-plotting, radar and fixing targets.

Technical seminars will offer a better understanding of the intuitive Glass Cockpit and CZone systems that make boating with Riviera today so much easier and even more enjoyable.

We have several offshore seamanship workshops that will be of great value to all owners wanting to venture up or down the coast or further afield.

Our Living the Riviera Dream seminar is presented by Jason Squire who has voyaged more than 15,000 nautical miles in the three years he has owned his Riviera 6000 Sport Yacht, The Silver Fox. Jason’s entertaining and informative presentation will include captivating images of his circumnavigation of Tasmania.

New Zealander Colin Crisp has a wealth of experience in extended offshore passage-making from his home in Auckland,. He has owned four Rivieras including his current motor yacht, Riviera 61 Enclosed Flybridge Aquasition 2. In his highly informative presentation, Colin will detail preparation, navigation, nutrition, crew selection and much more. Above all, he will emphasise safety at sea.

Tim Edwards will conduct a comprehensive seminar on offshore seamanship. One of our most widely respected skippers, Tim has more than 200,000 nautical miles to his credit. He has twice been commissioned to take Rivieras to Noumea for owners and was at the helm of 75 Enclosed Flybridge Seabreeze that cruised 4,366 nautical miles from Sydney to Singapore under her own steam in late 2014.

Please note there is one session only for a number of seminars and workshops, so early registration for all your preferred choices is essential.
