Every year our Festival of Boating enhances the boating enjoyment of our owners and attracts people from around the world. And this year will be no exception.
With new dates to coincide with the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, the Festival promises to be the most spectacular, informative and fun motor yachting event of 2018.
Two inspired Riviera and Belize displays
This year we are offering not one but two on-water motor yacht displays. The Festival of Boating this year is running in tandem with the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, giving you twice the opportunities to savour the Riviera and Belize luxury lifestyle with a total of 13 models to inspect. So comprehensive is this showcase that it is displayed over two locations.
A complimentary ferry service between Riviera and Sanctuary Cove will be available exclusively for registered Riviera and Belize owners displaying their Festival credentials. Of course you will need to purchase your Sanctuary Cove Show tickets when you arrive at the boat show.
More exceptional learning opportunities
Our comprehensive educational seminars and hands-on workshops feature new content and reflect your specific interests and the ever-changing technology on board our motor yachts. This year we have arranged most to be in the comfort of our air conditioned administration buildings and we have created a special outdoor workshop zone – our Festival Village centre stage for the larger scale seminars such as fishing, galley-wise cooking and fire safety.
We are also delighted to reveal that we have two very special Living The Riviera Dream seminars this year.
The first will be presented by Jason Squire whose adventures aboard his Riviera 6000 Sport Yacht The Silver Fox enthralled Festival visitors in 2016 and our online readers in 2017. Jason’s presentation this year, superbly accompanied by magical photographs, will describe his adventures and lessons learned from his circumnavigation of Tasmania in 2017.
Our second presenter is New Zealander Colin Crisp. Colin has a wealth of experience in extended offshore passage-making. He has sailed to the Arctic and crewed in the Mediterranean. He has owned four Rivieras. Most recently Colin has skippered his Riviera 61 Enclosed Flybridge from his home in Auckland to Fiji and back in a 3,000 nautical mile voyage. In his highly informative presentation about offshore passage-making, Colin will detail preparation, navigation, nutrition, crew selection and much more. Above all, he will emphasise safety at sea.
We have created a fabulous new Galley Wise – Planning, Provisioning and Cooking seminar for 2018 with renowned chef and TV presenter Sally Jenyns utilising a real Riviera galley for her highly informative and fun seminar. The galley is equipped with a two-burner cooktop and a convection microwave oven from which Sally will prepare a sumptuous banquet!
Valuable new content and lessons will be learned in 2018 from our most popular workshops, including the Ladies Skipper Program, Understanding Weather, Navigation and Radar, Tricks of the Trade and much more.
We have created a Festival Village on the waterfront, adjacent to our restaurant and undercover red carpet showcase of new motor yachts, where you will be able to meet and learn from our Festival Partners and our technical experts.
Exclusive up-close tours of our yard
A new dimension to the outstanding tours of our yard, the largest luxury motor yacht facility in the southern hemisphere, is expert craftsmen from our Riviera team guiding you on a walking tour through the world-class facilities to show you in great detail the processes that go into creating the award-winning luxury Riviera motor yachts. The new format will offer Festival registrants a highly interactive experience – ask questions, observe and see close up the dedication to the highest quality displayed by the talented people who build your Rivieras.
Vibrant colour and fun is on offer with our social events
Our annual Ladies Day presentation and luncheon at the Sheraton Mirage hotel on Friday, 26 May is certain to be a very special event as award-winning jewellery designer and CEO of Hardy Brothers, Stuart Bishop, shares his passion for the rarest natural-colour diamonds on Earth – the Argyle Pink Diamonds. Stuart promises a display of astonishing pink diamond jewellery from Hardy Brothers exquisite collection. Later, Tracey Watkins, designer and founder of one of Australia’s most sought after fashion labels, White Label Noba, will preview her 2018 Autumn/Winter range with a salon presentation.
This year’s Festival gala event on Saturday evening, 26 May will take us on a journey to the sparkling Caribbean. The evening begins with a very special red-carpet marina party at the world-class Riviera facility after which guests will move on to the Caribbean Club for an evening filled with tropical rhythms, dance and colours that will have you dancing the night away.
These are two events are not to be missed and tickets will be in high demand. We encourage Riviera and Belize owners to pre-register online now.
PLEASE NOTE: You will need to purchase separate admission tickets to visit the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show
