COOMERA, QUEENSLAND – Riviera has been busy over the past months with our European representatives, welcoming Navalia Yachting in the Canary Islands and hosting an education visit by Yachting Spain.

In Tenerife, the capital of the Spanish Canary Islands off the coast of north-west Africa, Navalia Yachting was proud to confirm the sale of a Riviera 395 SUV during the opening celebrations at its new 3,000-square-metre facility in the fishing basin of the capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The General Director of Navalia Yachting, Tomás Arteaga, said he is “very excited” with the new organisation and the relationship with Riviera.

“More than a team, we are a great family that loves the sea,” said Mr Arteaga.

He brings many years of experience and knowledge working in the motor yacht markets of Europe and the United States to Navalia Yachting.

“We want to expand this knowledge and experience and to introduce the supreme blue-water qualities of Riviera to the motor yachting enthusiasts of the Canary Islands Archipelago,” he said.

“I know Riviera and Belize motor yachts well and am proud to represent them.”

Riviera recently hosted a team from the company’s representative in Spain to a 10-day educational visit to the 14-hectare facility on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

Yachting Spain co-owner Jose Manuel Anton said: “Since we launched the business in 1998 we have focussed our attention towards cruising and fishing enthusiasts. Riviera fulfils both of these interests perfectly.

“It was a thrilling experience to visit this prestigious yard with two members of our service team. We had the opportunity to see first-hand the entire Riviera motor yacht build process and gained a great insight into the benefits for our clients in Spain.

“I was particularly impressed by Riviera’s organisation, assembly process, quality controls and the way the company manufactures so many components in-house, including carpentry and stainless steel. The company clearly stands out against many yards we have visited in Europe and in the United States over the past few years.

“Added to these capabilities is an impressive technical expertise, excellent teamwork and superb boat-building skills in an incredibly clean and efficient environment. It is no surprise the result is a unique collection of motor yachts that set a world benchmark in design, engineering and quality.

“Yachting Spain’s motto is ‘Our passion is our business’. Our entire team loves boating so we fully understand our clients’ passion and that of the Riviera Australia team.”

Riviera CEO Wes Moxey said the company was delighted to welcome the European representatives.

“The teams from Yachting Spain and Navalia Yachting exemplify the commitment of our entire international network to the highest standards of service.

“Jose and his Yachting Spain team have demonstrated this with their desire to meet with our team and to learn more about our build and quality processes. Their clients will benefit strongly from this extended educational visit.

“At the same time Tomás Arteaga and his team have expressed their knowledge immediately in confirming the purchase of a new Riviera on their opening day.”
